i slept more than 9 hours and my back hurts :/
I couldn't make it on time for my anthropology class, and it was the last class for this semester lol
too bad!
and also, today was the last ELP with Rab!!X(
we saw a documentary film about teen age students importing dangerous weapons from all over the world. It was crazy that students like me can actually buy those people-killing-weapons without any regulation. how could that be!? in Japan, I think laws regarding weapons are more strict, although Rab mentioned about a spray used for bears.
in next term, I want to do a project that will challenge a current situation of something(I'm not sure what it will be)!
hope to do some interesting work.

i thought rainy season started, but it was sunny(sometimes cloudy) and humid today. my expectation that today's PE would not be running but something like recreation did not come true X( although it was our last PE for this term.
the class after PE is always tiring :(
(luckily, we'll have PE in 5/fri next term♪)
since we kinda finished what should be covered in classes, we had a activity, Meeting Simulation .
If I were to go to the island in LOST, i would definitely bring machine guns, but not in this time. It was funny that Kaya's items list included swimming suit and sunscreen!X) never came to my mind.
but what we(Sayaka,Yuga,Tomoaki,Saori) thought was that may be MAY BE we can just have PC and Internet access, and tell the world what the government has done to us! i'm sure that this government's decision is ridiculous and the government like this will collapse as soon as the world protests against it! then we all can go back to our normal lives full of items to survive^^

what we did in class is an essay test on The Old Man and the Sea! I choose the first question, but i'm not sure whether i answered the question properly or not. also I couldn't spell out the words correctly , i think X(
btw I'll go to Scotland in summer for SEA program.
students going to Scotland and York gathered together and ate dinner at Italian restaurant in Kichijoji X)<3 ( it was cheap and delicious!)
they were all nice and I got to know them well ♪
i wanna watch soccer game tonight IF i finish my essay -_-
go JAPAN go!!

New Design
wow! new design for blog!
this is so cute ^^♪
I always like ELP classes in ILC. Since Rab uses lots of interesting websites for teaching, I never get bored in class :) I'm wondering how he manages to contain all that information for websites and books in his head!
We saw many short movies today and they all had serious messages for us to know. Some of the short movies were in cartoon and I laughed through out the movie, but at the same time, it was very shocked to know loads of terrible facts which were actually connected to our everyday life.
Can we create the world where no sacrifice is made for someone else's happiness?
or do we always need some kinds of sacrifice for benefit?
I don't know correct answers and solutions to these ongoing problems, but people in wealthy countries are the one who can change the world. I don't want to live my life as if I knew nothing about what's happening behind the surface.

We just finished our class and I'm spending my time at ILC to work on my essay.
In class, we did debate on our thesis statements for the essay.
this was actually fun!
although I only liked to attack people :P sorry!
by thinking how to explain my thesis statement, I realized that my essay is sort of introduction paper for neocolonialism and does not really contents my thought...
is that ok ?
I give many examples in my essay showing bad influences upon developing countries due to their unfair relationship with developed countries and international institutions, like IMF and World Bank.
and I say that we have to reconsider their current relationship and seek ways to solve problems to bring more benefits to developing countries.
is this enough? or should I give specific solutions (although this might be really difficult)?
hmmmm.... this is kind of my online tutorial!
by the way, I successfully get Mr.Ro's Introduction to Christianity class next term X)!
I'm so happy! because every time I ask seniors about the Christianity class, everyone says that Mr.Ro is the best.
I wonder what kind of class he will do for us.
I hope it's interesting, or else it's gonna be my sleeping time :(

i feel vain these days.
i really wanna do party and shopping!let this feeling go way!
recently, all ELP classes are about the book, but in fact, I learn more and more each day. Rab mentioned about the unrealistic events in the book, which did not fit with Hemingway's realistic writing style. I thought this was because Hemingway got tired of his own life and wanted to make changes. Recalling the story, I think it is so dramatic, and the old man like Santiago is so unrealistic!
Sayaka is moving to Natsuko's and my apartment in July X)♪♪oh yeah!

I cleaned my room this morning and neatly put my clothes in closet. It feels good when you have neat room^^ and I think it's getting hotter these days, so I must watch out for rotten food and bugs! be careful everyone!
What we did in class today is discussing The Old Man and the Sea and problems regarding animal rights. NP was about how to perceive theme and symbols in The Old Man and the Sea by relating them to Hemingway's own life and Christianity. It was quit different from what we did in our class last time that Paul said the story had little connection with the actual world whereas Rab talked about the importance to know about the period of time when the book was written and the status quo in Quba. There seems many ways to look at the novel!
Throughout Paul's lecture, I noticed many similarities in Hemingway, Santiago and Christ, although some of them were suspicious.
In the class, we discussed if it was contradiction for Hemingway to be both a hunter and a conservationist. And this discussion led us to think about problems of animal rights, meat consumption, factory farming etc. These were very difficult problems to handle, but we have duties to face them , of course. The documentary Earthling which Rab mentioned in the class, I'll see if I can find it.

fine day today;)
My constellation, cancer ,was no.1 on fortunetelling on TV today!
I supposed to have perfect luck on study, friendship, money and love.
hmm... not really !
today we had PWT, which I thought was rather easy comparing to the previous one.
thanks to tomoaki's google document because there was the same question on the PWT!
wow;)!
i'm not sure of some of the answers, but i don't care anymore.what's done is done!
i'm working on my essay now.
the DVD rab lent me was actually very helpful.
it showed how IMF and World Bank put pressures to Jamaica's market and how they restrict severely when they lend funds to people.
it was shocking that chief members of IMF and WB create rules officially which would eventually cause khaos in Jamaica, even though their formal purpose is to support Jamaicans.
i'm very looking forward to going to Rab's place X)!!
yahooooooo!

great weather today!
I loved today's weather!
blue sky with no clouds and worm sunshine ...it was definitely a day for ice cream^^♪
most of CBs whom I ate lunch with, enjoyed eating ice creams!
Today's class was held outside in the nature and it was very relaxing.
I saw ants walking on my legs and bags, but that was ok with me, may be not with Natsuko!
We talked about 3Bs on The Old Man and the Sea.
I thought I did my 3Bs, but it wasn't enough to understand the background of the book.I realized how important to have knowledge of the time and place when the book was written, so that you can interpret the story in better way with more evidence. It was interesting how Hemingway's feelings toward women appealed in this story! I never tried to read a novel in this kind of way, so what we'll be doing with The Old Man and the Sea seems fun ;)
hmm
i really need to go to supermarket!!
fooooooood!

right now
I just leaned my PWT score and knew that I was confident of my writing X(!
Anyways, it was not as bad as I imagined. (I actually thought it would be like 30-40%)
right now I'm thinking of what to take in autumn term.
hmm- i wanna take chemistry!
about the second essay, I started to do some research on the Internet.
There are ,in fact, many websites regarding "Neocolonialism," but it is difficult to fully understand modern problems.
They are complicated and written in difficult terms, which I'm not familiar with :(
soooo sleeeeepy
